Happy Friday friends! This week kind of flew by and I am certainly not going to complain about it!
No exciting plans for the weekend over on my end, but since college basketball is over we can have a bit of a life back. I believe Brandon and I are going to start on our front/back patios (because it’s in major need of a reno) and on top of that I plan on being very productive on the blog /business end of things. So I’m thinking it’ll be a busy one.
Anyways on to today’s post…
Since it’s been a while since I’ve actually blogged about anything, I thought I would take a day to share some of the things I’ve been loving/into lately…
I stumbled across the Acupressure Mat on some Amazon Must-Have list and decided it sounded like a good purchase. So I went for it. It’s basically a mat and pillow set that is covered in thousands of tiny plastic needles to promote restoration throughout your body. I’m not going to lie, it was painful at first and I could only lay on it for about 10 minutes, but the pain is definitely worth the benefits. I now do it for about 1/2 hour at night while I’m lying in bed reading. It’s incredibly relaxing and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my shoulder/neck pain from sitting at a desk all day. Definite game changer that I highly recommend.
2. Tumblr esque Instagram Accounts
A few months ago a cleaned up the IG accounts I follow because I wanted my feed to be inspiring rather than repetitive and draining. Once I cleared it up I found myself following more and more accounts that represented the good ol’ Tumblr pages I used to follow. A few of my favorites right now are:
I had been looking for a pair of white, wide leg, cropped pants for the longest time and finally stumbled upon this pair from Everlane. Since purchasing them, they have been pretty much the only pair of pants I wear 🙂 For the price you can’t really go wrong, but they are still great quality and the fit is perfection.
So I read about Qapital on Something Sakura‘s blog and have been obsessed with it. I’m always looking for ways to help me save money (I need it where I can’t access it) and this app has done just that. You set up Goals and then Rules for each of you goals. The rules are basically how you want to save the money. The Set & Forget Rule and the Round-Up Rule are my favorites, but they have a ton of options that make it easy to save without even thinking about it. Live saver for me!
I’d been using the Nutribullet blender for quite some time now to make my morning smoothies and it finally stopped working a couple of weeks ago (thank gosh! I haaaaated that thing), so Brandon surprised me with a Ninja blender the other day. Literally, life changing. I never thought I’d get excited about a blender, buuuut, it happened. You literally push one button and it pulses/blends the smoothie in 45 seconds. I love it! So if you make any type of smoothies, ever, I highly suggest in investing in one of these.
6. The Weather
We are quickly approaching summer here in Phoenix and I am completely dreading it. Seeing 90+ degrees on my weather app already is making me cringe. So, I am trying to make the best of the gorgeous weather we do have right now. Enjoying the last of our bike riding/patio days. The mornings and evenings are heavenly right now, so it makes knowing the heat is coming even harder. I need a summer house.
What things have you guys been into lately?
