Styling a Lace Romper for Cold Weather

Rompers are a wardrobe necessity for me (see: White Romper), but I usually just wear them in the spring/summer months. Ya know, when shorts are more acceptable. But upon receiving this lace romper, I knew it would be a perfect piece to style for the colder temps as well.

It’s a perfect piece to wear all summer, especially for a wedding or weekend brunch. This lace romper would be perfection. Summer is well past, so I decided to dress it more appropriately for the season. The mustard color provided the perfect color palette for this time of year. I actually don’t own another piece of yellow clothing, so it was fun to mix things up a bit.

Styling it for the colder months obviously consisted of some over-the-knee boots. Since I’m technically wearing shorts, I figured it was a good idea to cover up the legs as much as possible. I also paired it (although I’m not wearing it in these specific pictures) with my absolute favorite short coat. All of these pieces together made for a perfect fall outfit that would work perfectly for a weekend brunch or even a date night.

I also wanted to point out that this lace romper comes in a gorgeous burgundy color (and several other colors) that would be perfect paired with boots and a jacket for any holiday event you have to attend next month.

And on that note TGIF friends! Do you have any big plans? I mentioned in my Thanksgiving Outfit post that my whole family was coming out for the holiday. Well, my parents come in on Sunday, so I’ll be busy this weekend getting everything ready. I am so excited to have my whole family here for the holiday next week.

Wow! Stunning. totally stunning. I love this piece for fall. Something about it paired with black cool weather items creates a very alluring vibe. Love it so much.
And, how awesome your family is coming out to visit for TG. Will this be your first time cooking the Thanksgiving spread? It is magical and so much fun and exhausting at the same time. LOL! Enjoy every moment and drink lots of wine.

This is a gorgeous look, Shannon! Such a pretty color and I love the idea of styling it with tall boots.
