These pieces aren’t ground breaking, but they are tried and true pieces I reach for every year when it’s time for the fall/winter fashion
Dressing for the colder months is all about layering. Obviously. So it’s always a good thing to have the necessary pieces to create the perfect layered look. I went back through my blog and looked at the pieces I found myself wearing over and over in the fall/winter seasons in the past. I knew there would be some obvious ones, my moto jackets and layering jackets included, but there were also a couple of surprises.
So these pieces may be obvious to you, but I wanted to share them anyway because it’s always nice to have a little reminder of the pieces you should be investing in come a new season.
My 5 Most Revisited Pieces for Fall/Winter Fashion:
1. Moto Jacket
As I mentioned above, I knew that this would be included on this list. Between this perfect suede one and several faux leather jackets I own, moto jackets are always a go-to for me when it comes to fall/winter fashion. They are the perfect piece to add a little edge to a look while still keeping warm. To be honest, I’m not sure how people survive without one 🙂

2. Felt Fedora
Looking back, I was surprised at how often I wore my felt fedora (if that is even what they are called). I had wanted one for a long time and finally found this one at Nordstrom Rack. It’s been a favorite and while it’s not really a layering piece it is the perfect addition to most of my fall/winter looks.

3. Layering Jacket
I have the exact same layering jacket in two colors. If you read my blog you’ve probably realized I’m obsessed with them. I will even go as far to say that they are my two favorite pieces in my wardrobe. A lightweight layering jacket is the absolute best layering piece for the fall/winter months. They are big enough to be worn over bulky sweaters, elegant enough to be worn with dresses, and casual enough to be worn with basically anything else you own. If I could I would buy everyone one 🙂

4. Knee High/Over-the-Knee Boots
Obviously. As much as I hate to admit this (because I really want to be), I’m just not a bootie girl. I have one pair that I wear occasionally, but it’s rare. I much prefer the knee-high or over-the-knee boots. I’ve had this specific pair for a few years now and I couldn’t even count how many times I’ve worn them. They go with everything and I look forward to the day I get to bust them out every year.

5. Black Turtleneck
This was a bit of a surprise as well when I was looking back. I’ve never really appreciated a black turtleneck until now and I’m convinced it’s a wardrobe must-have. Obviously the perfect layering piece to add a little extra warmth, but also just as good (and incredibly) chic on it’s own.
