Is there anything better than wearing a hoodie while still being able to look chic?
I’m not much of a hoodie girl. Aside from the occasional sports hoodie (waaaay back) in high school. I much prefer a crew neck. However I can totally appreciate the comfiness that comes with the hoodie. When you put on a hoodie you just automatically feel cozy. And nothing is really better feeling cozy.
When I went back to Michigan over Labor Day weekend, my mom and sisters had a trip planned to a little beach town. Last year when we made this trip we were laying out on the beach, so I didn’t expect much difference this year. Well that was a mistake. I definitely did not pack appropriately, so before we left to go to the beach I had to make a Target stop for some warmer clothes. Surprisingly there were not many options for warm clothes, so I opted to just purchase this black zip-up hoodie. During that trip to Target, I also had purchased this plaid blazer and a couple days later when I paired the two together, I fell in love with the cozy, chic hoodie and blazer combination.
I love being able to give a little upgrade to such a relaxed piece. I’ve worn this hoodie and blazer combination a few times since, but this was one of my favorite pairings. The silk blazer and over-the-knee boots definitely dress-up the hoodie, but it’s still a relaxed look that isn’t too fussy. A perfect weekend look, in my opinion 🙂
And speaking of the weekend…
Did you all have a good one? I took another quick trip to Michigan and got to experience a bit of fall. It was definitely nice, but definitely cold! I told myself I wasn’t allowed to complain about the cold since all I’ve done for the past 4 months is complain about the heat. We went to a UofM game on Saturday and I was covered in hand and feet warmers, but it was a great time. And just like that it’s back to reality and back to work!
Hope you all have a great week!
