I’ve had my eye on this linen jumpsuit for a while now.
It was included in the July Edit of What I Want, but had been on my wishlist even prior to that. I’m not really sure what took my so long to purchase it. When it finally went on sale though, I decided I didn’t have an excuse.
Did the linen jumpsuit live up to my expectations? Not exactly, but I do actually love it.
My biggest (& only) thing, and which I am sure you can see from these pictures, is the way the chest fits. It is a little on the loose side, but I’m sure that could easily be fixed with a smaller size. For some reason though, I just decided to go with it.
With that being said, I still do love this linen jumpsuit. As I’m sure you have all noticed, I am pretty big fan of jumpsuits (this one being my favorite). The ease of them just can not be beat. It makes putting together a chromatic look (my favorite) easy and effortless. Then there is the lace-up back detail on this one. Love. The great thing about this, is that it can easily be adjusted to fit you better….always a good thing.
This linen jumpsuit really is a perfect piece for summer, but I think it could actually be a great transition piece as well. On Abercrombie’s site they have Instagram pictures of how other women have styled this. One of them layered a t-shirt underneath, which I absolutely love. Once the weather cools down here in Phoenix and layering becomes an option, I am definitely going to give that look a try.
And on that note…
I actually wore this linen jumpsuit this weekend when Brandon and I went and saw The Glass Castle. Remember on Friday when I said I hoped my expectations weren’t too high? Well I can’t really decide if they were or not. Ha!
The movie was good, not great. The book is obviously much better. But I can’t decide if I would have liked the movie had I not read the book. Did anyone else see it? What were your thoughts?
Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!
