We did a little East Coast trip a couple of weeks ago…Cape Cod was our second stop of the trip.
During our stay in Cape Cod, we stayed in Provincetown. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after the two busy and hot days we had in New York City (see my photo diary for NYC). This was our first time in Cape Cod and my gosh do I wish I could have spent the entire summer there. Provincetown is this perfect little beach town where the main strip is lined with beautiful homes and the cutest little shops/restaurants/bars.
Where We Stayed
Upon arriving on Tuesday, we checked into Salt House Inn. This was quite possibly the best place I have ever stayed while traveling. It was right off the main strip, the rooms were tiny and minimally decorated to perfection, but the best part about this place was the breakfast, made fresh every morning and absolutely delicious. It was a perfect way to start the mornings while we were in Cape Cod.
What We Did
The first restaurant we ate at was called Canteen. It was by far the best food we ate the entire trip. I also tried my first Frosè there, which was delicious. Actually wishing I had one now 🙂 After that we walked the beach for a bit and ended up a bar overlooking the beach. We were only two drinks in when it started to rain, so we headed to a little dive bar…where we spent the rest of the night. Lets just say Wednesday morning was not pleasant.
Wednesday we headed to the beach. It was a bit chilly so we just hung out for a few and then headed back into town to do some exploring. We basically just walked up and down the mainstrip hitting up Lobster Pot for some clam chowder and the Squealing Pig for some amazing oysters. Since we had a long night Tuesday night we ended up just spending Wednesday night on the porch of our hotel hanging out and chatting. Our friends we went with live in Michigan, so it was kind of nice just getting to sit and hang out with them.
Thursday morning we packed up and headed to Boston…
Have you guys ever been to Cape Cod?
