My 3 Favorite Ways to Style a High Neck Bralette

Bralettes have become quite a staple in my wardrobe. The lace is always so delicate and pretty, they are incredibly comfortable (offering little support though) and they add a little something to the outfits you pair them with. While bralettes may come off a little impractical and you may see them mostly for loungewear, they are actually super versatile.  They can easily be worn with your favorite tops and dresses providing a peak of something a bit sexy, feminine and really beautiful.

High neck bralettes, specifically, are my favorite go-to. There is just something incredibly gorgeous about them. I rarely come across one I don’t fall in love with. However when I purchased my first high neck bralette, I was a little stumped on how to wear it. Obviously it was too pretty to just hide under a basic top, but I also wasn’t sure how I felt exposing my “bra”. That first bralette sat in my drawer for a long while. I would periodically pull it out and try to style it some way, but was never really pleased with how it turned out.

The first time I styled my high neck bralette it was with my long vest that I had wanted to style as a dress (full post here). It seems like common sense to me now, but a high neck bralette is an absolute must if you have something that is too low cut for your taste or if you just feel like adding a little unexpected detail to a basic jeans and tee look.

Nowadays my high neck bralettes are on constant rotation. The three looks below are usually my go-to, but the options are pretty much endless. Everyone needs a high neck bralette in their lives! They are so beautiful and add a lot to an outfit!

Style a high neck bralette under a button up cardigan.

I love this look for a casual night out. It’s comfortable and just a bit sexy.

Cross front tees provide the perfect layering piece for a high neck bralette.

I love cross front tees, but they always seem a bit low for my taste.

Styling them with a high neck bralette provides coverage and some gorgeous detail.

When I have nothing to wear, my go-to is always a chambray top and black jeans.

Recently I started layering a high neck bralette underneath.

It provides beautiful detail to an otherwise basic look.

such a great post, girl! I’ve worn mine this way a couple of times and I agree it adds a little something extra to a basic pairing like a button up and jeans. I don’t need much support so all I own tons of bralettes! maybe I need a white one. Love your suggestions here.

Thank you Gina! I wish I I didn’t need support! Bralettes are so much better than bras for the everyday.

Great styling tips Shannon! I love bralettes (I’m small chested so they provide enough support for everyday!) but I’ve never tried a high-neck one! Obsessed with the white lace one under a chambray shirt – so unexpected and totally cool! Hope you have a great weekend babe!
