I know I keep rambling on about spring fashion, but I can’t help it. I’ve decided this year that instead of fall fashion, spring fashion is now my favorite (but check back with me in October). The whites, the blush tones, the light weight fabrics are all so refreshing from the dark tones and thick fabrics of winter.
There are some key pieces that make up a great spring wardrobe: lightweight jackets, good accessories, and tops and sweaters that make layering a breeze. Below are my picks of each 🙂
Light jackets are a must for a good, well-rounded, spring wardrobe. My go-to jacket during this time of year is the Levi’s Trucker Jacket. I’ve had it for several years now and it is still as good as new. A trench and utility jackets are a couple of other obvious must haves, but this spring is all about the statement, especially when it comes to embroidery. This embroidered denim jacket and the embroidered utility jacket are two statement jackets that are just too good to pass up if you are into this trend. Another great option to add to your jacket collection is the military style jacket. It’s definitely a statement piece, but one that will stand the test of time.
When it comes to accessories, I tend to keep it pretty low key with the jewelry, but sunglasses are an absolute must for me whenever I leave my house. This spring I would love to add a fun pair of blush toned sunnies to my collection. There are so many great, affordable options out there right now, but these are on the top of my list. Another must-have for my spring wardrobe is a good Panama Hat. It’s the perfect addition to any casual look. I’m also hoping to pick up this baseball cap. The light gray color would look perfect with an all white weekend outfit.
A lot of spring fashion is all about the layers. A spring wardrobe should consist of tops, sweaters and dresses that can easily be layered over each other or under a jacket. This light flowy dress would look perfect with a denim jacket over it for a fun weekend look. Or just pairing a cute tee with a pair of jeans and a classic v-neck sweater over it would make for an easy casual look. One absolute must-have is a chambray shirt. I know I’ve gone on and on about how great of a piece this is, but I can’t help it. I seriously do not know how people survive without one. It is always the piece I reach for when I’m stuck on what to wear.
