Well, we are officially into February my friends.

January always seems to be the slowest month which I typically can’t stand, but this year I tried to embrace it. Since the rest of the year seems to fly by, why not sit back and enjoy what seems like the longest month of the year?

I felt like my January was a pretty successful one as well. I got started and made good progress on a new project, I managed to get to the gym 6x a week for 4 straight weeks and I enjoyed some really fun weekends with my husband. So it’s been a good one.

Here’s a little more of what has been going on….

going…to the Waste Management Open today in Scottsdale, If you aren’t into golf or don’t live in Phoenix, you probably don’t know much about it, but it’s a pretty big deal out here. We’ve been here for 12 years now and have yet to go, so I finally made the decision that we are doing it this year. I’m pretty excited to finally get the experience.

reading…Ask and It Is GivenI’m super interested in learning more about the whole Manifestation theory and this book seems to be the root of it all. I’ve heard great things and while the whole concept is a little strange to me, I’m being super open and going to learn as much about it as I can. Have any of you read this? Thoughts?

loving…this quote from Ask and It Is Given: “you accept the distance between your starting point and where you desire to be – and you continue to move in the direction of your destination” It just speaks to me and so many levels 🙂

eating…this White Bean Turkey Chili. I’m obsessed and can’t get enough of it. My (kind of because I am cooking him dinner) poor husband is probably sick of it 10x over, but I can’t get enough. Even with the 80+ degree temps, I’m making it on a weekly basis.

drinking…grapefruit is back in season and that means one thing….Greyhounds! Obvi, not drinking them on a daily basis, but come the weekend I’ll definitely be indulging in a couple. I shared my recipe here: My Favorite Cocktail

watching…Grace & Frankie! The fourth season was just released on Netflix within the last couple of weeks, so I’ve been squeezing in an episode any chance I can get. If you guys haven’t watched it, I highly suggest it. It’s a great feel-good, funny show.

working…on a biiiig project. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the blog, but I’m SUPER excited about it and will definitely be sharing once it’s ready.

listening…podcasts, mostly. I started listening to The Influencer Podcast which is really good and has some great tips/interviews. Started listening to The Lively Show again which I am once again super into her theories and lifestyle. That’s about it though 🙂

buying…a Hot Yoga membership. Hot Yoga is probably my favorite workout ever and I promised myself if I made it to the gym for 4 weeks, I’d get myself a membership. So yea, buying that.

planning…my weekends. I’m trying to be more intentional about how I spend my time on the weekends. I always feel like I have so much to do, I stress that I don’t have time to do it all while still being able to have fun and I’m over it. Having fun usually wins over getting things done, which I love, but I feel like there has to be a way to have fun AND get the stuff done. So here’s to figuring that out. Ha!

wondering…why I can’t seem to stay focused lately. I thought I was just in a funk, but it seems to be sticking.

feeling…excited and ready.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

love these posts, Shannon! Hot yoga is fabulous, I agree! Congrats on reaching your gym goals. That is awesome. Can’t wait to hear about the biiiig project! and, finally…I can’t focus on blogging. my focus is good elsewhere but I don’t understand why I can’t get it together to blog. GRRRR. Frustrating.
