High-Waist Blue Floral Pants

In all honesty it seems weird sitting here typing up a fashion post, considering my post on Monday, but I did say fashion is still something I love and that I would be posting once a week, specifically on Wednesdays. So here we are.

As I am typing this I feel myself quickly reverting back to my old ways of thinking while writing a post. Or rather I feel myself overthinking this, I guess. After 4 years of doing the same thing though, I guess it’s bound to happen. I’m not trying to deter myself away from my old blogging self (because it was still ‘me’), but as I mentioned on Monday, I am trying to be more myself and write and share in a way that keeps my inspired (and hopefully you as well). That probably makes no sense.

I figure this is going to take some time to ease into and break the cycle, so bare with me while I figure this out. I promise I will 🙂

So yea, these high-waist floral pants though (ha!).

I do love them. It was a total impulse buy at Target the other day, but one that I am rather happy with. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know high-waist, wide-leg pants are my thing and I’ll take a pair in a floral print any day (see these floral high-waist pants too). Plus how perfect are they for spring (too early)?!

I wore this exact outfit when Brandon and I rode our bikes to check out a new bar that opened up in our neighborhood last weekend. It’s a perfectly casual weekend look and any chance I get to dress down a pair of wide-leg pants, I am allll in.

Also, how pretty would these look dressed up? I’m thinking a white or navy blouse with a pair of heels. Definitely a look I’ll be trying out when the occasion comes.

Anyone else feeling these floral pants? Speaking of, I notice there was quite the selection of them left at Target annnnd they were on sale, soooo I’m going to assume not too many people are into them. Ha!

Hi Shannon! I love how you’ve styled these pants. They look so much better on you than on the Target model. I think it’s because they are longer on you, and styled better of course:). love your denim jacket as well.
I completely understand the struggle shifting our perspective towards blogging. For example, I was not able to get into my Disqus and bloglovin accounts due to an email address problem and so I lost all comments and followers which is ok I wanted a fresh start and I only want people to read and comment if they truly love what they see. Yet still there is that fear that it will be all in vain and no one will read or find the blog. There is always that fear of failure and comparison that creeps in no matter how hard we try to block it out. We will figure this out! And, its going to be beautiful. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Yes, exactly. The fear that it will be all in vain, is the perfect way to describe it. Sorry you had to experience that loss though, it’s a bummer, but I feel like it probably means you’re on the right path with the whole starting new thing! We WILL figure this out!

Being short has it’s benefits when cropped pants are actually long 🙂

Thanks Chloe! Target is always a hit or miss, but I have definitely found some really great stuff, so it’s always worth checking out.
