It’s been a while since I did this type of post.

I always enjoy doing these posts, but I feel like sometimes life just isn’t exciting enough to share. Whatever. I think I’m going to get back to doing them each month. Hope you don’t mind 🙂

going…Headed to Michigan Labor Day weekend and I can.not.wait. Last year on this weekend my mom and sisters planned a last minute stay in a beach town on Lake Michigan. We decided to now make it an annual thing. We are going to a different town this year, but still on Lake Michigan. I am so looking forward to experiencing the last bit of a real summer in Michigan.

reading…Still working my way through The Happiness Project. I’m just as obsessed with it as when I started, but it’s a not a book I like to read before bed (it makes me think too much), so I’ve just been squeezing in chapters here and there in the morning. It’s taking me a bit longer than it should, but oh well!

loving…the weather this morning. It. Was. Heaven. We haven’t had rain in a couple of days so the humidity finally lifted and we are back to our dry heat. It’s still hot in the afternoon, but stepping out the door when it’s dry and only 80 degrees is absolute heaven. Again, I’m ready for summer to be over.

eating…out too much. I meal plan every Sunday before grocery shopping only to have Wednesday roll around and cooking dinner being the last thing I feel like doing  I strongly believe Brandon and I would be a hell of a lot richer if we didn’t spend so much money on food. But again, cooking after a long day at work, is. the. worst.

drinking…Tazo Awake Black Tea, iced. Always. Nothing new or exciting, just the norm.

watching…Brandon and I have been watching Sinner and Manhunt: Unabomber. They are both extremely good shows and it’s nice to watch something with a bit more substance than our normal reality shows. Sinner is amazing. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely watch it! I find myself wishing it was a movie because I want to know what happens. It’s tough waiting a full week 🙂

working…on this blog. My future. Life. I am working on changing things around a bit on the site (layout wise) and introducing something new (that I am both excited and scared about). So I really am working on things.

listening…Back on The Lively Show podcast. Before I was listening to all the episodes in order, so I was still back in 2015 or something. This time, I decided to just start at the beginning of 2017. It’s a bit different than the early episodes and I’m not sure I’m still into it. She is a big believer in the Law of Attraction, which I really want to get into, but some of the stuff she talks about is just too much. Still forging ahead at this point though because I do want to learn more about the Law of Attraction.

buying…I am really trying to be more conscious about the pieces I am buying. My August Wishlist  was shared last week and those are all things I am definitely going to purchase this month. I took advantage of the sale Abercrombie was having the other day and purchased the Girlfriend Denim Jacket. It’ll be a while before I get to wear it, but I think it will be a great fall staple.

planning…our move, I guess. Kind of. Our house is still on the market, but we are still trying to figure out what we want to do. Stay in our current house or buy a new house. Buy more of an investment house or a house that doesn’t need work. Keep our house, update it and hope for a better return, or just straight up forget about moving. We even made a pro/cons list last night. I thought laying it all out would make it clear, but nope. It did nothing.

wondering…how it is only Wednesday. How?! I really hate to wish the days to be shorter (because lets be real, time flies), but man this week is dragging. I am ready for Friday already, as I am sure most are 🙂

feeling…good! I’ve really been working on keeping a positive mood/outlook and when I remind myself about it, I can really tell a difference in how I feel on a daily basis. Not that I was an unhappy person by any means, but as I mentioned in this post, I’d been in a moody funk and decided to get over it. It’s been refreshing if nothing else.

I love these posts! Definitely keep em’ coming. All your hard work really shows on the blog, Shannon. It’s so good! keep pushing bc you’ve got something very engaging here. Clothes & Quotes stands out in this extremely populated blogosphere. I’m hoping that, now that my travel is over and the girls are headed back to school…and I’m not planning to adopt another fur baby this year, I can focus on Classy Ever After this fall. I would love to grow my blog a bit and be able to put more of my time into it. You inspire me to blog more. Always.

    XO, Gina
