May Favorites

Can you believe May is about over? This month flew by. It was a bit crazy for us with the unexpected trip back to MI, but getting to experience a bit of the Michigan summer was so nice.

This is supposed to be a monthly series and it definitely will be from here on out, but as I’m typing this I just realized I didn’t do one for April. Oh well. Back at it.

Below are a few things I was loving this month…

When I visited my sister in Nashville, she had this Urban Decay Self Adjusting Primer and I used it pretty much every day I was there. Since then, I’ve purchased my own and it is seriously the best primer I’ve come across.

There is seriously nothing better than a Michigan summer. When I was home a couple of weeks ago, I got to enjoy several morning walks around the lake and it was heavenly.

These tops will be posted on the blog soon, but I’ve seriously been living in them. I originally tried the red one one when I was at Zara and quickly decided I’d be buying it in all three colors. Plus they are only $23.

On our flight back to Michigan, Delta handed out these Kind Bars on the plane and they are so good. Since being home we’ve bought two boxes and I eat one daily čÖé

I’ve been using this Rodan + Fields Lash Boost serum for only a couple of weeks now and have noticed a huge difference. I’ll definitely be keeping this up as part of my nightly routine.

These knotted slides though. I’ve been wearing flats more often than not these days, so I thought I should purchase some new pairs. I loved these as soon as I spotted them and since receiving them, I’ve pretty much worn them nonstop. The fit is perfect and so comfy.

Currently

┬áDrinking…

Iced tea. Black, unsweetened, extra ice. Tazo Awake is my absolute favorite.

Reading…

The Weekenders. I randomly picked it up for our flight and it is decently good. Not sure if I’d recommend it yet though.

Listening to…

River by Leon Bridges & Super Rich Kids by Frank Ocean. Both from the Big Little Lies soundtrack. Can’t stop.

Watching…

Handmaid’s Tale. My sister recommended this to me and it is really good. Incredibly strange and a scary thing to think about, but definitely good! Are any of you watching?

Eating…

Kind Bars (per above)

Wanting…

Ice Cream. Always.

Feeling…

Excited.

Ok, I want those lace tops from Zara! How many sizes up should I go? LOL! I have found that Zara always runs teeny tiny. The lash boost works wonders. I used it for about 6 months and every one was asking if I had extensions. Then I got an awful eye rash (dermatitis) on my eyelid and under my eye. I don’t know exactly what caused it but it won’t quit and now I can’t use anything except hypoallergenic stuff. So frustrating.
Love that snap of you at the gym!

Thanks Gina! I purchased smalls in the tops from Zara which fit fine, but I kind of wish I would have sized up to a medium for a less fitted feel.

Love those tops from Zara! So cute. I haven’t watched The Handmaid’s Tale. I know everyone is watching it and obsessed, but I don’t really even know what it is about.

Thanks Nikki! The Handmaid’s Tale has a very interesting storyline…basically women have no rights.
