You guys, Nashville is so fun!
I just wanted to share a few pictures and a little about our trip. I suck at taking pictures while on vacations and I even forgot my camera one of the days, so a lot of these are iPhone photos. Please excuse the quality 🙂
My little sister has lived in Nashville for a while now and was supposed to be moving this summer (she no longer is), so I was set on experiencing Nashville with her before she left. When Brandon and I finally booked our trip, every person I mentioned it to would automatically say “you are going to love Nashville”, so needless to say I went in with my standards pretty high. Plus, if anyone knows how to have a good time, it is my little sister.
Nashville was nothing like I expected. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that. Totally in a good way though. We stayed in the cutest Airbnb in East Nashville. Everything was white (which is all I want in a house) and there was a perfect screened in porch with a hammock and string lights. Had it not been so cold, I would have spent every morning out there. I will say that the house was a little far out from downtown, but it didn’t stop us from doing anything 🙂
Friday and Saturday we went down to Broadway and experienced all the bars and the insane amount of people. The live music was probably my favorite thing about the whole situation. Live country music never gets old. Saturday we got to see one of Caroline’s friends play, Jessie G, she was amazing and is actually going on tour with Gretchen Wilson this summer. My favorite “honky tonk” was definitely Tootsie’s, it’s a famous classic and an absolute must! Acme was another favorite of mine, the rooftop patio paired with their frozen drinks was perfection. Again, had it not been cold, I feel like we would have spent a lot more time there. And of course, the only thing I had on my Nashville to-do list was to go to Hattie B’s for dinner. It most definitely lived up to its reputation!
My only regret about Nashville is probably not doing any touristy things. We didn’t do any tours, which I take full responsibility for. Once I got a few beers in me and with the live music, I couldn’t pull myself away. The only thing we did do was the Pedestrian Bridge which gives you a gorgeous view of the city.
All in all it was a great trip. Just being able to hang out with my sister was amazing and I definitely hope to get back to Nashville again someday.
Have you guys ever been to Nashville?
