eating…like shit still. Like I’ve said a million times, ice cream is going to be the death of me. I had finished the last of some we had in the freezer one night and I was so happy to have it gone, but the next night Brandon came home with 3 (!!!) different flavors (major eye roll). Basically I have no self control, so that sucks.

drinking…water. Lots and lots of water, which I guess is a good thing. I’ve been taking allergy pills every morning and my mouth has been so try from them, so I’m just chugging the water. Nothing exciting 🙂

watching…Nothing new, but good news is Real Housewives of New York came back on last night and I can’t even explain how happy that makes me. I’m a fan of anything Real Housewives (well maybe besides Atlanta), but NYC is by far my favorite. I basically just want to be Carol Radziwill.

going…No exciting trips planned this month. Brandon’s parents are coming for a visit so we’ve been trying to actually plan for their trip. So that’s where are focus has been.

reading…Big Magic. Still. Oops. My reading 10 pages every night quickly fell flat, so I’m slowly making my way through it. It’s a great book, I just need to be better about reading more often. Stop watching so much TV.

loving…Is it weird that I have such a hard time with this question? I just can’t think of anything (other than the norm) that I am loving lately. I wish I had something exciting to share with you every month…I guess I need to get more hobbies 🙂

working…Nothing at the moment. Well nothing particularly exciting. I have been working on behind the scenes stuff for the website…stuff I know absolutely nothing about, but that I’m hoping will be worth it.

listening…The Lively Show podcast. I know I’ve already shared about it (here), but it really is all I’ve been listening to.

buying…lots and lots of white. I have to constantly remind myself not to purchase another white top. For some reason every time I see something in black, I’m just not drawn to it. Which is really weird considering I’m chalking it up to the season so I’m sure it will quickly pass.

planning…Brandon’s parents visit (as previously mentioned). I’ll totally admit that I have never been the best hostess when we have visitors. I never plan anything because I’m so scared they won’t want to do it. But this time we figured we plan some fun stuff so we aren’t just sitting around and eating out the whole time. His parents are pretty laid back so I’m excited.

wondering…when I can start planning another trip. At the beginning of the year I told Brand I wanted to take a bunch of weekend trips, but after being in Nashville for only a weekend we decided we definitely need more time. It doesn’t quite feel like a vacation when it’s so quick.

feeling…gross. Because allergies. My throat is always dry. I’m always sniffling. As much as I hate to say this (because that means the heat is here), I can’t wait for this season to pass so I can get back to feeling normal again. But other than that, I’m feeling great 🙂 (didn’t want to end on a negative note)

Man I feel like that was a rather boring update. Sorry! I need to start doing more so I have stuff to share. Haha! Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Tomorrow is Friday!!

I am sorry your allergies are so bad! My husband has horrible allergies too. I have been working on behind the scenes blog stuff too (which I know nothing about but am trying to learn) and I am about to pull my hair out. I am super overwhelmed. Hopefully you get to plan some more fun trips soon. I wish we were able to travel some.

Grab a copy of The Curated Closet. I think you’ll love it and it is a quick read with lots of style pictures. you may not be able to put it down.
I feel for you about Brandon coming home with 3 cartons of ice cream. That’s rough. I would say just enjoy it bc you look fabulous so whatever you are doing is working just fine.
Loving…your doggies. you could talk about your doggies. That would capture my attention for sure:). speaking of doggies! Speaking of, is that photo above the one you met when you volunteered? At first I was thinking you got another one, but if I recall, that was the pretty girl you fell in love with at the shelter.
I can’t even go into a shelter:( Can’t handle it.

I love these posts Shannon! even if it is just regular every day stuff, it is still awesome.
    XO! Gina

Sorry to hear your allergies have been bad! I totally understand the behind the scenes work on the blog, too. There’s a lot that goes on for the back end side of things! If it’s any encouragement, your blog (and newsletter, and Instagram…) is seriously rocking. And, all of that work, whatever it is, will be worth it for sure. Hope you’re having a great weekend, Shannon!
