eating…anything to off-set the copious amounts of junk I ate while home over the holidays (at least trying…ice cream has made an appearance. it will be the death of me). This week I am back to green smoothies for breakfast, healthy rice bowls for lunch and homemade dinners.

drinking…a couple months ago I was trying to cut out the creamer in my coffee, but I gave up on that. Coffee is my little indulgence in the morning, I seriously look forward to it when I go to bed at night, so I decided to just be more cautious of how much creamer I use. Also, I’ve realized how horrible I am with my water intake, so I’m working on that as well.

watching…Mad Men. Brandon and I are half way through the 6th season, so we are nearing the end and I’m rather sad about it. The show was a bit hard to get into at first, but I absolutely love it now. Then it’s one to that new murder show on Netflix because it’s all I’ve heard about for the past week. I’ve been staying away from anything and everything that mentions it in fear it will be spoiled!

going…no where at the moment. Last year I got to experience two places I had never been, Telluride and Maui and this year I have made it one of my “goals” to go to at least two new places again. Napa is at the top of the list.

reading…Another 2016 goal is to read at least 12 books. I think it was a 2015 goal too, but this year I am really focusing on it because I MISS reading! I got Life, Style, Love for Christmas, so I am making it through that one first…just for fun. Then I purchased a few blogging books, so next up is one all about SEO (exxxciting).

loving…being back in Arizona, at home and back to a normal routine. Don’t get me wrong, I looooved having a 10 day break from all things reality and I was depressed thinking about having to give it up, but once I settled in at home again it felt good. One of my favorite quotes is: “my heart swings back and forth between the need for routine and the urge to run” It explains it all so well.

working…on building a routine for after work. I read a quote the other day that really stuck with me (of course I can’t remember the exact words)about how after your “real job” you shouldn’t go home and not work on your “dream job”. I’ve always come home and watched TV then around 8:00pm I’d get to the blog. NOT ANYMORE! I’m allowing myself an hour of television a night and I am going to spend the rest of the time working on my blog and an hour before bed I’m going to read :)Still trying to figure out how to fit the gym in there though.

listening…Justin Bieber. Don’t judge me. I can’t help it. His new album is killer and it’s on repeat.

buying…the only thing I’ve bought since Christmas is this belt and I’m obsessed. Hopefully I can pull it off. However there is plenty of stuff on my wish list!

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; p = ‘//’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

planning…our weekly meals. I’ve always did a bit of meal planning each week, but come Friday I’m over it and just decide to go out. Then we go out for breakfast on Saturday, then for lunch and then for dinner and Sunday it’s usually lunch & dinner again. We spend SO MUCH money on eating out that I’ve decided to plan meals through Friday (including Sunday) and we can go out once a weekend. I want to travel more and if that means eating out less, I’m pretty sure I can handle it.

wondering…when I’m going to figure life out. Anyone else? Over it.

feeling…motivated. Kind of, yet intimidated. I do feel motivated, but I’m scared it’s going to wear off so I’m trying to tone it down a bit. Does that even make sense? I’ve never written goals down, but being in this blog world how could I not?!? Everyone has such high goals that it is extremely motivating, so I took note and wrote down my goals. I’m excited to see what I can actually accomplish.

The last one is so true – I'm so motivated to do new things, but still a little overwhelmed to get them all done!! You mentioned rice bowls and now all i can think of for lunch is a rice bowl haha! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

Lol, cute post. I don't know if any of us will ever figure out life. That's both good and bad as it's kind of exciting as to where life will take you but scary as we're not in control. Other than that, sounds like you're got a sturdy list for yourself. Good luck!

I always tell people that try to get me to go on certain eating regiments: You cannot tell me what to put in my coffee. That is my daily treat and I am not changing that to lose weight. haha.
Also, I'm kinda going through a Bieber thing too 😉

  5. January 6, 2016 / 4:15 pm

I got Love Style Life too and love it! I just started my 6th book of break last night…I am flying through books but love reading!

  6. January 6, 2016 / 4:27 pm

I can relate to your list–I'm also looking at some of the same things. BUT creamer will always go in my coffee. Period.

  7. January 6, 2016 / 5:12 pm

Well, first, it's been a while since I was dependent on coffee in mornings. I switched a few years ago to chai tea latte and recently I drinking matcha latte also 🙂 Second, I'm still wondering when I'm going to figure out life as well.

    Happy New Year!

I love these posts – I'm right there with you. Coffee is my indulgence. I started making my coffee at home instead of going to Starbucks (too much money on a daily basis!) and it's my daily indulgence. I'm also trying to eat better as well!

I started reading again in 2015 and it was a huge change for me and I also had forgotten how much I loved it. Good luck with your 12 books!

    This is perfect.
I thoroughly believe in having an after work routine because it makes me more productive.

My night time routine was also pretty packed because I was trying to work out, blog, cook, spend time with my husband and relax. I decided to get up 30 minutes earlier every morning and it made a huge difference because that's when I get most of my blogging done. I also try to work out with my husband so we get to spend time together that way AND we exercice. Figuring out a schedule is not easy but it's worth it!

  12. January 6, 2016 / 10:39 pm

love your wish list! so many great goals for the new year and YES – I feel like I need to get my life together haha. all the time. swear I still feel 19 even though I'm 26. Sheesh. You know, if you want to make creamer that's a little "better" for you, try making it yourself from almond milk or something. you just use almond milk + cinnamon +vanilla or whatever flavors you like and voila! healthier creamer 😉

stop by and chat with me ♥

I'm totally eating ice cream as I'm reading this right now-haha. & I can't stop listening to Justin Bieber either. I never thought I would actually like his music but it's so catchy! I like that quote about focusing on your dream job!

  14. January 7, 2016 / 12:52 am

I just fall in love with your blog. Now is one of my favs. Keep the good work, because you and your blog are amazing! PS: I love this post idea. x.

I also not so secretly love the new Justin Bieber album lol. And I would also love to get back into reading 🙂 Good luck with your meal planning!

  16. January 7, 2016 / 1:24 am

I am also wondering when I will figure out this whole adult life thing.

  17. January 7, 2016 / 1:46 am

You are absolutely going to love Napa!!! Traveling more is also high on my list this year and getting to a few new places while still visiting old favorites. Right now my husband and I have just one trip planned for March that I am getting really excited about!
    xo, Laura

Mad Men is such a great show!! I'm definitely trying to eat better after the holidays too 🙂

  19. January 7, 2016 / 4:00 am

I'm totally with you on listening to Bieber! And I gave up coffee just after Christmas, in order to start the new year caffeine free. That made me realize how often I supplemented coffee for water. Need to drink more of that. – Katy

  20. January 7, 2016 / 4:08 pm

Girl I could never give up creamer. Especially this time of the year! Props to you that you made it that long. haha I'm three episodes left of my binge watch on the show Scandal (which I HIGHLY recommend) then I too will be watching Making a Murderer. Gotta see what all that fuss is about.

  21. January 8, 2016 / 2:48 am

I've been on a major Nurse Jackie netflix binge recently myself and I can't wait for House Of Cards to start! Oh, and I've seen and heard so many people taking about that "new murder" show as well. Let me know if you start watching and your thoughts next round up.

Love this post! I just started how to make a murderer. It's good once you get past the accents. I love the quote about swinging back and forth between the need to routine and the urge to run. It's perfect. And girl, I gave up trying to figure life out a looooooong time ago! Happy Saturday!
