Trina Turk Dress – Express Leather Jacket (similar) – Target Belt – Target Clutch – Zara Shoes
For the past year probably we have been invited to plenty of weddings,
I guess we are just at that age where everyone that we know is getting married (hint – hint, boyfriend).
However the majority of the weddings are back in Michigan and it’s hard to get back for all of them.
I always enjoy going to weddings, I think they are fun (usually) and I get to get a new dress 🙂
I originally bought this dress for my sisters graduation from West Point, but plans changed
and I, unfortunately, was not able to go. I had to go back to Michigan instead and
it just so happened that one of our friends from high school was getting married.
I was very hesitant about this dress as it’s not exactly my style.
It’s very conservative and stepford-ish looking, but I was able to shorten the hem,
added a pop of bright color and wore a leather jacket once it cooled off to toughen it up a bit.
I actually loved the way it turned out and am glad I ended up wearing it.
What are some ways you style a dress to make it work for you?
This dress is adorable on you, and I love it with those neutral strappy sandals and the leather jacket. Leather does add a little edge to the ultra feminine dress. Perfect! It totally works.
HOpe you had fun at the wedding…
XO, Gina
